Free traffic To Your Website Through Social Networking Sites by Dev Maritz
Driving traffic to your website has always been a tricky one, especially if you do not want to pay for any advertising. I am sure that you have heard the gurus talk about “The money is in the list”. Well, that is very true; however, if you can’t find the traffic you can’t make any money.
Free traffic in my opinion comes with time. The more links you put out there, the more people will go to your website. If you practise a strict routine, you will generate plenty of free traffic.
Now that being said, where do you look for free traffic?
Social Networking sites of course! And I am going to show you 7 websites where you can start by leaving a big trail of back links on all of these sites to help you. There is one thing that you must abide by and that is: DO NOT TRY AND PROMOTE PRODUCTS FROM THE GET GO!
You will display a very bad reputation and people will never click on any of your links. The main reason why I am a being honestly upfront with this is that, once you have build up a bad reputation, there will be no chance to generate free traffic constantly.
Tip: Start by writing articles and post them on your blog(s), article directories, forums etc and then put a link with some more great content of your niche on the social networking sites. That will lead everyone to ALL YOUR OTHER CONTENT! This way they will not only see 1 link to your website but many others and it will show plenty of your article work that you have done.
That means one thing, you are an authority figure and it will show through all the great content that you have created over time. Why hit a bird with one stone when you can hit two with the same one. This will help get free traffic from all sources and not just from one site.
You can sign up for an account with the following websites and this will get you started.
1.Reddit- Popular social news website with a large user base. Covers a wide range of news. Includes several topical sections, which focus on specific topics like programming, science, politics and business. Free traffic to you!
2.Digg- The largest and most popular social news website on the internet. Covers all topics including politics, entertainment, technology and general news.
3.Propeller- A social news site that covers all topics from technology to politics and entertainment. Operates in a similar fashion to Digg. Free traffic to you!
4.Mixx- A general social news sites which has a category for all types of news. Topics covered include business, entertainment, sports, health and tech. Includes the ability to create groups to share news with other users.
5.Shoutwire- General news site that is well populated with a loyal group of users. Topics covered include technology, politics, entertainment, lifestyle and sports. Free traffic to you!
6.Linkfilter- Covers all sorts of news. All links are posted and moderated by users. Links can be ranked on several levels: clicks, votes, age, or a combination of all three called points.
7.searchles-: A hybrid social news sites which covers all topics. Includes a video section and offers personalized filtering features and the option of joining groups made up of other users with similar interests. Free traffic to you!
