Established Wedding
I am currently applying for my green card. my parents want to come over for my wedding ceremony.?
I have already married in court, and my greencard application is currently being processed. we are going to have a wedding ceremony in the spring and my parents would like to come down for it.
My questions are:
with my parents coming to the states will that jeopardize my greencard application?
Is it better that they say they are coming for my wedding or just for vacation?
my parents are well established at home with buisnesses and property under their name so they have no intention of staying.
Your parents’ visit will has no impact on your green card application.
Your parents has to get Visitor’s visa if they are not citizens of Visa Waiver Participating countries. And never lie to Immigration Officers. Nothing wrong them telling officier about real purpose of their visit to US.
Make sure they present strong ties to their country showing that they will come back to their country after US visit, if they have to go Visa interview.
